Supervision of children & appropriate product use

Some of our rental products have small parts, can be quite heavy for smaller children, or could result in harm if used in a manner other than their intended purpose. Children under the age of 18 are to be supervised by a responsible adult (18 years or older and without altered consciousness) at all times when using products and/or products are easily accessible. Garden Gatherings will not be held liable for injuries/incidents caused from misuse of products or that occur when appropriate supervision is not provided.

Delivery or DIY

Garden Gatherings provides two options for your rental items: a budget-friendly DIY option and a delivery option for those who may be time-sensitive or would prefer less hassle. The details for each are as follows:

DIY Collection

Customers can pick up their lawn games from Garden Gatherings at a scheduled time. This is typically the day prior to your event, but can be arranged for the morning of. A minimum hire spend of $150 applies and is separate to your bond. All items must be transported safely and in their carry bags (where applicable) and returned in the same condition to avoid deductions from your bond. Items are to be returned the day after your event or additional fees may apply.

Delivery Service

Garden Gatherings offers delivery, set-up/pack down and pickup for a minimum hire spend of $250. Delivery fees vary based on distance (see table below for more information) and will be confirmed at booking. The hirer must ensure clear access to the setup area and provide accurate delivery information. Refunds will not be provided for incorrect information provided. For set-up/pack down options and delivery to areas 50km or greater, please contact Garden Gatherings to receive a quote.

Bond

A refundable $100 bond applies to all hire bookings and will be returned once items are checked back in and confirmed to be undamaged and clean. Return of your deposit will be processed within 3 business days of the return of your hired items.

Product review

Your hired products will be reviewed by Garden Gatherings prior to their provision to you. Photos will be taken for comparison upon the return of items. This is to ensure products are in working order and that any existing damage is noted prior to your hire period. You are also invited to review each product with a team member from Garden Gatherings. This is at your discretion, however provides you with an opportunity to take note of product condition prior to taking responsibility of items and ask any additional questions you may have. Should a product be found to not be in working order prior to provision to you, alternative product(s) of equal value will be supplied in its place.

Cancellations and rescheduling

If your event is rescheduled to a new date due to extreme unforeseen circumstances (e.g. bushfire, pandemic, flood, etc.), your original items on your invoice may not be available for your rescheduled event date. If this occurs you will be offered other available items for your new date to the value of the amount you have already paid, or a credit may be issued. This will be at our discretion based on the circumstance. No refund will be given.

If we have worked with you to reschedule your event to a new date, but you then cancel your event at a later date, you will not be entitled to a refund. If we have already rescheduled your event due to unforeseen circumstances and you decide to cancel your order, even 90+ days in advance from the new date, you will NOT receive a refund of any monies paid.

Please have a back up plan in place for instances of poor weather, as no refunds will be given for events cancelled or postponed due to undesirable weather conditions (e.g. rain, wind, etc.).

If unforeseen circumstances occur and your event is unable to go ahead on its scheduled date, please contact Garden Gatherings as soon as possible to explore alternate arrangements.

One date change is permitted under unforeseen circumstances, further costs may apply if a request is placed to move the date again. This is up to the discretion of Garden Gatherings.

Under special circumstances as decided upon by Garden Gatherings, a Credit Voucher may be issued to be used for monies paid towards your original order within 12 months from cancellation, or your order transferred to a new date as agreed upon by both parties. If the Credit Voucher is not used within 12 months, no refund will be provided.

Cancellation fees

Cancelled 90 Days or more from the hire date - full refund.

Cancelled Between 30 – 89 Days from the hire date - 50% of total order will be charged. The return of your bond will be processed after the cancellation fee is received. The bond may be considered as monies towards the cancellation fee, please contact Garden Gatherings if you would like to explore this option so an accurate invoice can be issued.

Between 14 – 29 Days from the hire date - 75% of total order will be charged. The return of your bond will be processed after the cancellation fee is received. The bond may be considered as monies towards the cancellation fee, please contact Garden Gatherings if you would like to explore this option so an accurate invoice can be issued.

Between 0-13 days from the hire date - No refunds will be given and you will be charged 100% of your total order. This is due to the fact that these goods could not be supplied to another client. The return of your bond will be processed after the cancellation fee is received. The bond may be considered as monies towards the cancellation fee, please contact Garden Gatherings if you would like to explore this option so an accurate invoice can be issued.

Bond must be paid at time of booking.

Hire and other fees

Final payment for hire items and any other fees must be paid seven (7) days prior to your event. If wanting to pay for part or all of your order with cash, please contact Garden Gatherings to discuss payment arrangements.
